| Getting Started |
| Step 1: Review, verify the System Requirements from the configuration options below. |
| Step 2: Review, agree to Rules of Conduct & Terms of Service in order to Register for FNA Voice Beta. |
| Step 3: Download and install the FNA Voice Beta client. |
| Step 4: Launch the FNA Voice Beta client application from the desktop. You'll be automatically logged in to the DiamondWare 3D Beta Server. |
| Step 5: Visit the FNA Voice Beta Forum for scheduled Sessions, assistance and to provide feedback. |
| System Requirements |
| The FNA Voice Beta utilizes the USB port on the Killer NIC as the primary audio/voice interface. As a result there are a few configurations you can use depending on the accessories you already have or wish to acquire, and the type of gameplay/voice experience you prefer: |
| Option 1: Voices will be heard through your headset and game sound will come through your speakers.
Required Accessories:
- USB Headset w/integrated microphone
- USB 2.0 High-Speed Hub
- Sound card
- PC Speakers With this configuration the USB headset w/microphone connects thru the USB 2.0 Hub to the USB port on your KillerNIC. The speakers remain connected to your regular sound card. |
Option 2: With this configuration all of the audio, both game and voices, are mixed together to be heard through either your speakers or headphones.
Required Accessories:
- USB audio card (adapter)
- USB 2.0 High-Speed Hub
- Standard analog headphones or speakers
- PC onboard or PCI sound card with a 3.5mm Line-in plug
- Microphone
- 3.5mm audio cable (2 ft.) In this configuration the USB audio card adapter connects thru the USB 2.0 Hub into the USB port on Killer NIC. The microphone plugs into the USB audio adapter, the patch cable will connect between the USB audio adapter to your sound card (see diagram). |
